Elastic Path hires Riccardo La Rosa as Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations

Former Acquia, Isobar, and Molecular executive joins expanding leadership team and brings track record of driving product innovation to industry leader in headless commerce.

Boston, Mass. Sept 10, 2020 –Elastic Path, the leading headless commerce provider for digitally-driven brands, today announced that Riccardo La Rosa has joined as Senior Vice President, Engineering and Operations. La Rosa brings more than 20 years of engineering leadership in digital commerce to Elastic Path, adding to the depth of the senior leadership team, which also includes the recent appointment of Jamus Driscoll as CEO. With a proven track record of driving product innovation, both for technology vendors and digital commerce system integrators, La Rosa will lead the company’s global engineering and product operations teams as the company expands to support the demand for its industry-leading headless commerce solutions.

“As brands strive to make eCommerce the cornerstone of their business growth strategy, the challenge of working with rigid, legacy commerce technology has never been greater,” said La Rosa. “I’ve been an admirer of Elastic Path as a partner and implementor for years, and I am thrilled to join the team and be a part of enabling brands with the digital commerce solutions they need to respond to changing market dynamics and realize their ambitious growth goals.”

The rigid nature of legacy eCommerce platforms is preventing brands from adapting to current market requirements. As a result, Gartner is advocating a new approach called Composable Commerce. Elastic Path is the only digital commerce technology provider capable of delivering the breadth of headless commerce capabilities needed to unlock the benefits of a Composable Commerce approach, with the trust and confidence earned by powering over $15 billion a year in mission-critical commerce revenue for the world’s most innovative brands, like Intuit, Johnstone Supply, T-Mobile, Pella Windows and Doors, and over 250 other leading enterprise brands.

La Rosa led the cloud engineering teams for Acquia’s flagship digital experience cloud offerings where the company accomplished multi-digit growth and was acquired by Vista Equity Partners in late 2019. Prior to Acquia, La Rosa led technology teams driving large digital transformation projects for global clients.

“As a result of increased demand for modern commerce solutions to power unique digital experiences, Elastic Path is in a phase of rapid growth and innovation,” said Jamus Driscoll, CEO at Elastic Path. “Riccardo brings an unparalleled combination of engineering acumen, commerce expertise, and leadership experience to Elastic Path that will propel our product innovation into the future.”
