VANCOUVER -- January 7, 2019 -- Elastic Path, the world’s leading provider of enterprise API commerce solutions, today announced that John Bruno has joined the company as vice president of product management. Bruno previously served as senior analyst at Forrester, where he was responsible for the CPQ and B2B Commerce Waves.

“John brings invaluable expertise to Elastic Path,” said Harry Chemko, CEO of Elastic Path. “He has experience our customers need and no one else has. He was the lead author of Forrester’s 2018 B2B eCommerce playbook, providing a unique lens for businesses to learn how to improve sales outcomes in today’s digital age. He has also been an advisor to the industry’s leading brands, giving him a distinct vantage point, a clear view of our competitive landscape and an ambitious vision for how we will grow to dominate this market.”

In addition to his work at Forrester, Bruno served as senior business analyst at Pegasystems and a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. He has extensive experience working with Fortune 500 brands, retailers, and distributors to develop digital commerce strategies. He has spoken and written widely, with expertise featured in Wall Street Journal, Adweek, Forbes, Business Insider and more. In his new role, he will empower Elastic Path product teams to better understand customer behaviors, channel partner dynamics, analyst views and the competitive landscape. As part of the product leadership team, Bruno will be charged with continuing Elastic Path’s legacy of anticipating the next commerce evolution and leading the revolution behind it.

“John is a huge asset to our growing team,” said Senior Vice President of Products Peter Lukomskyj, to whom John will report. “We’re aggressively hiring product managers in both Toronto and Vancouver, and there’s no one better to build out that team than John.”

“Given my exposure to the market as an analyst, I knew Elastic Path was a company with a strong vision for the future of commerce and the technology prowess to enable it today,” said Bruno. “I’m proud to be joining a team that’s on the leading edge of how cloud technology empowers brands to better connect with and serve their customers. In my new role, I will build on the work I did at Forrester to help brands build truly integrated customer experiences. I predict we’re moving towards a future where the best digital experiences of tomorrow don’t feel like commerce -- connected commerce simply underpins everything. And that’s what’s only possible with Elastic Path.”
