VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- April 18, 2019 -- Elastic Path, the world’s leading provider of enterprise API commerce solutions, has been selected as one of Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers 2019. The judges at Mediacorp Canada Inc. named Elastic Path to this esteemed list due to its strong growth and generous benefits. Elastic Path was featured in a special section of the Globe & Mail distributed nationally on Friday, April 12.
The selection committee was impressed by Elastic Path’s rapid acceleration. The company created over 80 new opportunities in the last year, a YoY growth of 31%. Other employee support programs noted by the judges included the company’s $1,500 yearly training benefit, flexible and distance work opportunities, individual performance bonuses and peer-to-peer recognition awards.
“It’s great to see the Elastic Path team recognized for our culture and continued team expansion,” said Elastic Path CEO Harry Chemko. “We prioritize great employee support programs to support our amazing talent. Benefits like our yearly $1,000 health and wellness account and three weeks of vacation after one year of employment ensure everyone is supported while building technology to transform the future of commerce.”
Now in its sixth year, Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers recognizes the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that offer the nation's best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. Employers must have less than 500 employees worldwide with headquarters or a main business office located in Canada.
“The companies that make this list are fast-growing employers that need to innovate rapidly,” says Richard Yerema, managing editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Some have doubled in size over the past year, but all of them are looking for new ways to attract the best and brightest employees so they can keep growing. Many compete in high technology fields, where the race to scale-up isn’t just a matter of ambition – it’s a matter of survival.”
In recent months, they have also made key strategic hires including former Forrester senior analyst John Bruno as Vice President of Product Management to support their growing and increasingly sophisticated customer base.
