Ecommerce Software Leader Elastic Path Partners with Mobify to Deliver Exceptional Mobile Experiences

Partnership brings mobile expertise to leading API-centric commerce platform.

Vancouver, B.C. (Oct. 29, 2013) -- Elastic Path Software Inc., the digital commerce company, today announced a new technology partnership with the leading mobile web platform, Mobify, to give Elastic Path customers access to the fastest, most powerful way to create mobile experiences that drive key business results.

"Optimizing the customer experience for mobile devices is the new business imperative, so we’re very pleased to be working with a leader like Mobify," said Harry Chemko, CEO of Elastic Path. "Nobody does mobile better. Combined with Elastic Path’s API-driven ecommerce capability, businesses can now deliver digital experiences on mobile devices that drive revenue."

Mobify’s technology is used by leading Fortune 500 companies and powers the mobile websites for global brands such as British Telecom, Garmin and Expedia, driving hundreds of millions of dollars in mobile revenue for customers.

"Research has shown that customers are more likely to convert and return if they have a positive mobile experience. Ecommerce businesses need to take advantage of increasing mobile traffic by giving these users an experience that drives engagement and sales," says Igor Faletski, CEO of Mobify. "We’re thrilled to partner with an industry leader like Elastic Path to give ecommerce businesses the tools to capitalize on the multi-screen web."

The Mobify platform helps businesses leverage their existing website to create faster, easier-to-use web experiences that are adaptive for every device on the market now and in the future. By maintaining the original URL for all device types, Mobify’s technology accelerates marketing efforts like social media and SEO. The Mobify customization tools allow developers and IT professionals to launch responsive and fast mobile experiences using standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript web languages.

By leveraging both Elastic Path and Mobify, businesses can create best-in-class ecommerce experiences for mobile visitors and maximize web revenue opportunities.

The partnership is the latest announcement from Elastic Path as it innovates around the digital experience and the API Economy. Earlier this summer, Elastic Path significantly strengthened its financing by raising CDN$12-million for innovating its product platform, which consists of:

  • Commerce Engine, the industry’s most flexible platform for managing products, bundles, discovery, pricing, promotions, personalization, and purchases;
  • Subscriptions, a cloud-based solution for all recurring revenue and usage-based business models, and;
  • Cortex, the world’s first hypermedia API platform for driving customer experiences across every digital touchpoint.

In its recent Hype Cycle for Digital Marketing, 2013, Gartner recognized Elastic Path in the Commerce Everywhere category, alongside Adobe, Amazon, Facebook, and IBM. Elastic Path was also named as a "strength" in Gartner’s 2013 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management Systems (WCMS), under the vendor entry for OpenText, with which Elastic Path has a global partnership.
