Ready to Rocket names 25 privately held tech firms with high growth potential in 2007

Vancouver, BC, Canada, February 1, 2007 -- Elastic Path Software, the pioneer of flexible ecommerce software, today announced that it has been identified as one of the top twenty-five private Vancouver companies positioned to capitalize on growth in the information technology (IT) sector. The announcement comes on the heels of a record close to the company’s fiscal year with over 60 percent increase in license revenue and acquisition of over 70 new customers. In early 2007, company momentum has continued, fueled by the release of Elastic Path 5, its re-engineered open-source platform and its AJAX-powered Elastic Path One Page technology in the October 2006.

"We are delighted to be recognized as one of Vancouver’s leading private companies," says Harry Chemko, co-founder and chief executive officer of Elastic Path Software. "We have grown the company to service over 130 global retailers without taking any outside capital. We attribute our success to remaining steadfast in our mission to provide a flexible, affordable ecommerce platform that reduces acquisition costs, convert customers, boost the value of online transactions and ultimately enable retailers to win market share in this competitive market."

Rocket Builders released its fourth annual "Ready to Rocket 25" list along with its annual "I.T. Outlook" report. The "Ready to Rocket 25" list names twenty-five private B.C. companies who are best positioned to capitalize on the IT trends that will contribute to faster growth than the IT sector as a whole.

"We identify companies that both information technology buyers and venture capitalists will value. Our analysis of market trends led to our selection of Elastic Path Software as a Ready to Rocket 25 company," said Dave Thomas, senior partner, Rocket Builders.

The "Ready to Rocket 25" list is the only predictive list of its kind in North America. In past years, the list has accurately chosen companies that have significant revenue growth, that are more likely to receive investment and that are more likely to get acquired.
