Harry is a consummate entrepreneur, having started Elastic Path in 2000 when he was fresh out of university. With only a $15,000 start-up loan from a non-profit organization, Harry's optimism and energy drove the business forward, turning Elastic Path into the world's leading provider of commerce software designed to maximize revenue from the next generation of digital experiences. In 2005, Harry received the Young Entrepreneur Award for being the youngest CEO on the PROFIT Hot 50.
Today, Harry is responsible for leading corporate strategy and driving Elastic Path's vision. He believes that in this connected world, digital commerce is all about generating business value from great digital experiences across all touchpoints. A successful digital commerce platform must help enterprises unlock that value and generate revenue.
Co-Founder & Executive Vice President
Mark co-founded Elastic Path alongside Harry Chemko in 2000. With over a decade of experience in consulting on enterprise-level ecommerce projects for major brands, Mark has become fluent in the world of ecommerce and enterprise software implementation.
Today, he is responsible for driving Elastic Path's sales and channel strategies for EMEA and AsiaPac regions. Mark's passion and leadership has helped Elastic Path achieve an average growth rate of over 50% since 2008 and expanded the customer base worldwide. Mark is a fervent advocate for customers and works closely with their senior level executives to help develop their long-term ecommerce strategy.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Gord has held leadership positions in the technology industry for over 20 years. He began his career with IBM in technical roles, authoring texts on relational database and supporting enterprise systems. He went on to lead a highly successful consulting practice that helped launch some of the earliest major ecommerce sites in the world.
In 2000, he co-founded Apparent Networks, which won numerous awards for innovation and grew to become a leading player in network analysis software. Gord has also served as a management consultant to governments and corporations in North America and Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.
Gord joined Elastic Path in 2004 as a board member and came on as a full-time executive in 2006. He is responsible for strategic planning, building the Elastic Path team, international and strategic partner development, and the day-to-day operations of the firm.
Vice President Client Solutions
Brian leads Elastic Path's professional services, support and training teams, whose members help customers plan, design and implement world-class, game-changing digital commerce solutions.
Brian earned his Certified Management Consultant designation while with Coopers & Lybrand, and has held senior leadership positions with Hummingbird, PureEdge Solutions, Alea Software, and Cognos, where he helped drive a significant services re-positioning and growth strategy. Brian has also enjoyed a successful management consulting career, leading strategic planning and implementation projects, and leading both operational and executive teams.
Chief Technology Officer
Sal is responsible for developing Elastic Path's long-term technology strategies as well as bringing new ecommerce solutions to market. Sal has over 24 years of experience developing long-term technology strategies and understanding emerging markets and technologies.
Previously the chief technology officer for Business Objects, Sal led the technical due diligence efforts resulting in the company's acquisition by SAP for US$6.8-billion. He continued on in an expanded role as chief technology officer for SAP's Technology Development Group. Prior to this, Sal worked for IBM as a software development executive for ebusiness solutions and was instrumental in IBM's early entrance into the ecommerce market.
Vice President Marketing
Matt is responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and strengthening brand awareness at Elastic Path. Matt has over 20 years of experience in partnering strategy, business development, public relations, analyst relations, product marketing, product management, and strategic alliances. He has helped grow revenue and market companies such as Crystal Decisions, Apparent Networks, and Meridex.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Psychology from Simon Fraser University. He has served on the board of directors for Active State, 90 Degree Software, Meridex Software Corporation, ACETECH and Inetco Systems.
Vice President Sales & Business Development
Mark is responsible for sales in NASA and Asia, and growing Elastic Path's global network of strategic partners including technology partnerships and channel of system integrators.
Mark is a seasoned ecommerce veteran and brings over 13 years ecommerce expertise and business development experience to Elastic Path. He joins Elastic Path from Plimus (now BlueSnap), an ecommerce company that provides a platform for small to mid-market customers. Prior to Plimus, Mark served as the Senior Director of Sales at Digital River, an ecommerce outsourcing company. He has worked with the most influential names in the industry and was instrumental in closing key accounts such as Electronic Arts, Webroot Software, NetIQ, Mattel, Fisher-Price, Parametric Technology Corporation, and THQ.
Vice President Products
Peter leads the development and execution of Elastic Path’s overall product strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, and managing a team of product leaders, Peter works across all functions of the business to accelerate Elastic Path’s trajectory as a leading experience-driven commerce company
Peter is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA/CMA) and a Professional Engineer. He studied engineering at Western University and has an MBA from Queen’s University. He joined Elastic Path from QuickMobile where he worked as Chief Operating Officer, which during his tenure was placed #1 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50. Prior to that, Peter was a global Vice President at Sophos, where he managed product lines, lead customer loyalty and e-commerce, and assessed and integrated acquisitions.
