This Avalara Instant On integration is pre-built to support a no-code integration from Elastic Path Composable Commerce to Avalara. This integration with Avalara allows you to commit tax and void tax on specific order events.

Use Cases

Commit Tax

The Avalara API will be called to commit the tax when the order is paid. The default trigger to initiate the commit transaction is the order.paid event but the trigger can be set as any of the order events:

  • order.created
  • order.fulfilled
  • order.paid
  • order.authorized

Void Tax

The Avalara API will be called to void the transaction when order is cancelled. The trigger for this will be the order.cancelled order event.
