  • Sally McKenzie delves into defaults and personalization in Nudge Your Ecommerce Customers and Grab the Low Hanging Fruit, based on a Harvard Business Review article which is well worth the $7 to access.

  • Avinash Kaushik recommends 4 different success metrics for 4 different stages of the buying cycle. What would you measure as a success metric for branded keywords vs. category keywords? Stumped? Read this article.
  • An analytics report I can't live without is Referring Keywords, which shows the search queries that send visitors to your site from each search engine. Michael Vandemar recently blogged about the impact that Google's apparent experimentation with AJAX in search result pages will have on every analytics tool out there. In a nutshell, you'll lose the ability to track referring keywords from Google which would be a disaster for Internet marketers. We'll keep our eye on this.
  • Schill product reviews are nothing to laugh at, but Andy Beal found a Dilbert Cartoon that reinforces that art imitates life. Timely in light of Belkin and more recently Carbonite's naughty behavior on Amazon.
  • Brendan Regan explains the problem with wish lists including how they may actually increase cart abandonment, ironically. Check out his wish list for wish lists.
