I've submitted a resume but have not heard back, should I follow up?

Please be patient, we review each application carefully and will be in contact should there be a good fit with our current needs. If that is unfortunately not the case we will keep your resume on file for upcoming positions. Regrettably due to the high volume of applications received, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

There are multiple jobs I am interested in, should I apply for all of them?

Yes. If you see more than one job that you are interested in, please submit your resume for all of them as this will help us understand the types of roles you are interested in.

I live outside British Columbia, do you consider applicants from other regions?

Yes we do. However, it is always helpful to indicate if you are planning on moving to Vancouver or any other details that may be relevant.

What is the recruitment process?

Your application will be reviewed by our Talent Team in conjunction with our hiring managers. If there is a fit with our current opportunities, we will contact you to further discuss your skill set and background as well as the opportunity itself. We will want to find out about your technical skills in great details so you may have the opportunity to complete a technical/job related assessment as part of the recruitment process. Regrettably due to the high volume of applications received, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Is the information I submit private?

Yes. We take privacy very seriously. Only those involved in the recruitment process will know that you are considering an opportunity with Elastic Path.

I am looking for an internship, are you hiring students and how do I apply?

We are always looking for technical co-op students to join either our Product Development or Professional Services team. If you are a student in a recognized co-op program, please ask your school to contact our Talent team.

We typically advertise co-op opportunities with both SFU and UBC each semester. Check out the job placement board at your university for more details on opportunities available.

Should I include a cover letter?

Yes. A cover letter is useful when you are applying for a position as it helps us understand your interests and provides an overview of your key skills. Please keep your cover letter short and concise while emphasizing your key accomplishments and how you believe there is a good fit with the opportunity available at Elastic Path.

How do I prepare for the interview?

Relax. We want to get to know YOU not what you think you should tell us. We will be asking you questions about your background, accomplishments, technical skills, the type of work you would like to do, etc.

Remember:

  • Be yourself and be open: we are interested in getting to know YOU to understand the potential fit with our opportunities and work environment;
  • Be interactive and elaborate on your experience & skill set: interviewing is a two-way conversation;
  • Use this as an opportunity to find out more about us.

What happens after the interview?

As a team, we will discuss the outcome of the interviews and the opportunities available at Elastic Path to determine if there is a fit at this time. We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know the outcome of our discussions/meetings. If you are successful and are still interested in Elastic Path, you will be contacted to move forward in the recruitment process (further interviews, reference checks, or assessment may be required depending on the position). If there are no immediate opportunities for your skill set, we will let you know and keep your resume active in our resume database for consideration for future opportunities (six month period).

Are technical assessments part of the recruitment process?

Yes, depending on the role you are being considered for. For most if not all technical positions, you will be involved in technical discussions with our team and will also be asked to complete a technical assessment related to the position.

Do you have any tips when writing my resume?

Be real. We want to know more about you so please be honest about what you have done previously. Any misrepresentation on your resume will not be taken lightly.

Keep it concise. We understand that you have a lot to tell us, but please keep it brief and do not submit a resume with more than five pages.

Do you have an employee referral program?

Yes. We believe that this is a great way to reward our staff and to build the company with "known" talent. If you do know someone who currently works at Elastic Path, please include it in your cover letter.

Should I submit my grades from University?

Yes. We love to review your grades. It provides us with a more complete picture of your background and we appreciate the openness. Please attach a copy with your resume and cover letter.
