Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I've submitted a resume but have not heard back from you. Should I follow up?
Please do not contact us to check in on the status of your resume. We review each application carefully and will be in contact should there be a good fit with our current needs. Due to the high volume of applications received, regrettably only those selected for an interview will be contacted. We will, however, keep your resume and information on file for a period of six months for consideration for upcoming positions.
What are some of the benefits of working at Elastic Path?
Other than working with a great team of smart and energetic people, we also offer competitive benefits and perks.
There are multiple jobs I am interested in; should I apply for all of them?
Yes. If you see more than one job that you are interested in, please submit a separate resume for each of them. This will help us to better understand the types of roles you are interested in and to ensure that the right people receive your information.
Will submitting duplicate resumes increase my chances of moving forward in the process?
No. Please do not submit duplicate resumes for the same position as this will only slow down the process and will not reflect favorably on your application.
Do you consider applicants from other locations?
Yes we do. However, we are unable to sponsor or relocate for most positions. If you are planning to move to the area in which the position is based, please note this in your application (along with your planned date of arrival and any other relevant details).
What happens during your recruitment process?
Your application will be reviewed by our talent team in conjunction with our hiring managers. If there is a fit with our current opportunities, we will contact you to further discuss your skill set, background, and the opportunity in more detail. Depending on the role, you may be asked to complete a technical job-related assessment as part of the recruitment process. However, for other roles most of the process will be completed through an in-person interview format. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applications received, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
What happens after the interview?
We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know the outcome of our discussions. If you are successful, you will be contacted to move forward in the recruitment process (further interviews, reference checks, or assessment may be required depending on the position). If there are no immediate opportunities for your skill set, we will let you know and keep your resume active in our resume database for a six month period for consideration for future opportunities.
Are technical assessments part of the recruitment process?
Yes. For most technical positions you will be involved in technical discussions with our team. You will also be asked to complete a technical assessment related to the position.
Is the information I submit private?
Yes. We take privacy very seriously. Only Elastic Path employees involved in the recruitment process will know that you are considering an opportunity with Elastic Path. The information that you share will not be shared with third parties or anyone outside the organization.
I am looking for an internship. Are you hiring students? If so, how do I apply?
We are often hiring for technical co-op students to join either our Product Development or Professional Services team. If you are a student in a recognized co-op program, please ask your school to contact our talent team. Check out our students and graduates page for more details on available opportunities and how to apply.
Should I include a cover letter?
Yes. A cover letter is useful when you are applying for a position as it helps us understand your interests and provides an overview of your key skills. Please keep your cover letter short and concise while emphasizing your key accomplishments and why you believe you are a good fit.
Do you have any tips when writing my resume?
If you have the qualifications and experience outlined in the job posting, please ensure these are clearly demonstrated in your resume.
Be real. We want to know more about you to ensure you are successful in the role you are applying for, so please be honest about what you have accomplished in your work experience. Any misrepresentations on your resume will not be taken lightly.
Keep it concise. Bullet points that highlight achievements and work experience are preferred. Please present your employer/client career history along with your experience and achievements.
Do you have an employee referral program?
Yes. We believe this is a great way to reward our staff and to build the company with "known" referrals. If you know someone who currently works at Elastic Path, ask them to introduce you to our talent team. Please be sure to include their name in your cover letter.
Should I submit my grades from university?
This depends on how many years of experience you have relevant to the position. If you are a co-op student or recent graduate, please include them with your application. This will provide us with a more complete picture of your background, and we appreciate the openness. For others, if you have “bragging rights” from scholastic days, feel free to include them.
I'm having technical difficulties submitting my resume/application.
Please try again. If are you are still experiencing difficulties, send your resume to jobs@elasticpath.com with a short note about the technical problem. Please do not submit duplicate resumes.
